Commercial Tenant Build-Outs and Renovations
Before filing, we review the address, proposed use and scope of work to identify which permits and approvals the team needs. We coordinate the paperwork for the main building permit and any trade permits, track comments by discipline and follow up on resubmittals.
- Commercial build-outs for restaurants, retail and offices
- Commercial interior alterations and changes of use
- Building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing permits
- Plan review corrections and resubmittals
- Notice of Commencement recording and permit closeout coordination
- Residential permits for additions, remodels and new construction
Check the Proposed Use Before You File
If a tenant plans to use the space differently, such as turning a retail suite into a restaurant, check the proposed use early. Hollywood uses a Certificate of Use to verify that the proposed business use fits the zoning at that location. If the city determines that the building or suite has changed use, its checklist calls for a Change of Use/Occupancy permit and a new Certificate of Occupancy.
